Terminal-3 Dubai

They operate out of Terminal 3 in the Dubai Airport, which was built exclusively for them at a cost of $ 4.5-billion in 2008. The massive terminal covers I423 acres of floor space, making it the second largest building in the world and it can handle 43-million passengers per year. In 2013 Emirates Airlines received the honour of being named Airline of the Year and they have won numerous other prestigious awards.

The airline operates out of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, and it is a subsidiary of the Emirates group which is owned by the Dubai government. Emirates operates over 1600 flights a week to over 140 cities in more than 80 countries. They operate four of the world's longest direct flights, from Dubai to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth, and they are planning to launch the longest commercial direct flight of 17-hours and 35-minutes from Dubai to Panama City in 2017. They have code share agreements with various airlines, but do not belong to any of the three major global airline alliances preferring to maintain complete control over their unique style.

The company operates an all wide body fleet based on the Boeing 777, with an average aircraft age of just 6.3 years. The current fleet numbers 219 passenger planes, and in 2013 alone they purchased 200 planes and they have another 287 on order. This means that they offers passengers the top of the line in facilities and comfort as well as being one of the most ecologically efficient airlines.
